Gone with the wind
The weekend's European Tour action was a rain-affected affair in Madeira. You'll often read articles about how to control your ball flight in the wind and if you can add a new shot or two to your armoury then you'll be a better player for it.
A quick tip for you: to produce a slightly lower flight so your ball doesn't lose its penetration, move the ball back in your stance and focus on making a normal swing. It sounds simple but it's worth practicing this on the range and noting the change in trajectory which results from your hands being slightly ahead of the ball through impact.
Master this and the next time the wind gets up midway through the monthly medal and you won't have the fear. You may even relish it!

Short Game School
Places are running out for the Annual Short Game School. I take people step by step through every shot in the short game. Some players just come to work on getting out of bunkers, some want to learn distance control, others want to know what club they should be using. We cover everything and you can dip in and out of the school which is held every Thursday right through to July.
More importantly we have loads of fun. I can't promise you wont be picked out of the group to demonstrate your fault so the others can see but what I can promise is that whatever fault you do have we will eliminate it by the end of the session.
In the meantime any questions drop me an email I'm here to help.
